AURAS AND GRIEF

A NEW TOOL FOR YOU IN COUNSELLING OR IN HELPING OTHERS

The aura around someone can indicate a state of grief, sadness, trauma and being overwhelmed when life is difficult.  Of course, the opposite is true when life is great; where their aura will then be lighter, brighter colours such as; pink, white, indigo, gold/yellow and more.  There is a lot that can be discussed about auras, but I am not doing that at this time.

Consider for a moment, a child in a counselling session who tells you they are bad, because the colour they see around themselves is dirty brown. With this comment comes the sadness in the lowered eyes, the lowered head and a feeling of not being good enough.

What you don’t see or know is that this child had experienced extreme loss and trauma and misinterpreted the colour of the aura and it’s meaning. This therefore created a perpetuating self narrative of being bad due to their inability to understand grief and trauma.

In all seriousness, some people see the world differently and until you ask, you may not know that they see auras around themselves and others.  Sometimes, I preface a question with “you may think I’m crazy, but do you see colours around people”?  By this time, they usually know what I am like and know where I am coming from.

You choose when to ask the question and trust yourself to know when to do so.  The world is changing as are we.

Shine bright, the world needs you.

All my best,
