The Dash – The Space In Between

The space in between the dash refers to your life between the time you were born and the time you die.  How you fill that space is your walk through life.  This is an interesting concept that is often realized too late in life.

Is it better late than never to realize how you fill your dash, the space between birth and death?  Some people may think of this and take time to reflect on their walk through life thus far.  Other individuals may decide there are changes that need to be made in their life, now.

For myself, when I look back on my life there are regrets for the hurt I feel I caused others to experience.  I know I did the best with what I knew and understood at the time.  I know I am not perfect and I learn from my mistakes, sometimes later than I would have liked.

When I look back on my life there are moments, situations and experiences I know I had to go through to be the person I am now.  My dash is full of mistakes, but without the mistakes I would not have known when I “got it right for me”.

For me getting it right now means;

  • healing a heart’s loss
  • growing from life’s lessons
  • having compassion and understanding for myself and others
  • doing what I feel is right for me and not judging others for what they feel is right for them.

I remember being told to make sure I put fun into my life at every stage.

Remember that;

  • frowns can turn to smiles
  • the sun still shines on a cloudy day
  • no matter how much stuff and money you have, when you die you cannot take it with you.

Find love, joy and happiness in your life now.

All my best and more,
